Hi friends!
Affording the price of admission for live entertainment can be a struggle at age 22. In 2016, it seems nearly impossible to find quality entertainment opportunities that are under 20 dollars. However, discounts are never far from a college student with a valid school ID.
At the Paramount Theatre in downtown Aurora, the Tony Award-winning musical "Hairspray" is running for one more week. If you provide your school ID, tickets will only cost you 10 dollars. Yes, you read that right. 10 bucks!
Even if you think that musicals are just not your style, do not rule out this exciting show.
Believe me, the production is fabulous. "Hairspray" is a high energy experience with a brilliant cast of characters. Also, the message of fighting for equality is as poignant as it is inspiring. Whether you like dancing, singing or a good story line, "Hairspray" has you covered.
CAUTION: This musical WILL give you the urge to stand up and dance. You have been warned.
Not only was the show FANTASTIC, but it was a cost-effective way for me (a massive theatre junkie) to see a live production and not spend a lot of money.
Another major bonus for seeing a show at the Paramount is the additional discounts at local eateries. The theatre is partnered with over five restaurants to provide coupons for either a free item or percentage off your meal.
If you click HERE, you can see all of the different deals available if you purchase a ticket. Just make sure to print the coupons and bring your ticket stub with to the restaurant.
So why not venture away from your typical weekend plans? Seriously, a movie will always be playing and a fast food joint will always be open. Take advantage of these sweet deals available to you at the Paramount Theatre.

On a similiar note, I wrote an in-depth article about student rush tickets at the Paramount Theatre. If you are interested in how to get these tickets, make sure to give it a read here. Or check out the Paramount Theatre website for more information and see pictures of the gorgeous theatre.

Thank you for visiting Campus Meets Community! A new blog post will go up next Monday.
